I have an aquamarine and diamond engagement ring and i was wondering what is the best way to clean the aquamarine. I understand it is semi-precious so you have to be careful with it, but also with the nature of the stone it tends to pick up dirt etc and look cloudy vs sparkly and new. When i get it cleaned at the jewelers it looks brand new again, as I have a really expensive high end aquamarine, but at home no such luck. Any tips?
Your jeweler may be using solvent in an ultrasonic cleaner. Since you don’t have that option, try using an old toothbrush and liquid detergent.
What makes gemstones dull is light "leakage"
A grease spot on the pavillion (back) of a gem alters what should be a gem/air interface. Now there is a gem/grease interface.
What that does is light pass through rather than being reflected back through the crown and to the eye.
So cleaning the back side of the gem is just as, or more, important, than cleaning the crown (top).
NOTE: Work over a towel or washcloth rather than over a bathroom or kitchen sink. If that ring is dropped, it might damage a stone or setting.
Well, I can’t find the picture online, but it’s a plaid button-up short-sleeve shirt, in neon aquamarine and black. (the base of the shirt is neon aqua.) The scarf is black with a bunch of silver threads through it. It is the kind of scarf you would just throw around your neck, no styling. I don’t know which jeans to wear, though. Should I wear my gray skinny jeans or dark wash flares? I would wear htis necklace, too:

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the necklaces and it’s the owl one… second to last.
Thanks a lot!
Grey skinny jeans sound good with black boots to match your scarf. Black skinny jeans would work as well.
I love the ocean so much, everything about it is beautiful! I have always wanted those starfish earrings from aquamarine XD
okay to the question, I want to make a sea inspired look. Nice and simple for my bedroom and bathroom and if anyone finds those starfish earrings i want them! SEND THE LINK haha XD
leave links to a store that sells sea decor and other stuff and suggest colors,design,ect….
I WANT THESE EARRINGS XDhttp://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo138/Jenna11_30/aquamarine_starfishearrings.gif
Yes those earrings will look lovely on your room. Blues, green and whites are good colors for sea inspired. Stencils are fun to use and very easy.
Good luck and hope it turns out nicely.
For me…
1. Peridot
2. Blue Topaz
3. Citrine
4. Aquamarine
5. Ruby
6. Amethyst
*well peridot is my birthstone and I love it but I also love blue topaz, aquamarine and amethyst.*
I have seen the first movie of Aquamarine and im just wondering if there is a second one. The first was so GOOD! But is the originall people still in it? Please help me!
Thanks
no sorry right now theres not going to be and I know I loved the movie it was so cute
What kind of band would you put with this?
My engagement ring looks similar to this. It is aquamarine and the same setting, only the center stone is slightly smaller and the ring is much much more high quality ($700 for just the ring). What kind of band do you think would look nice with this? Do you think a wrap would look nice or just a single band? Pictures would be nice. Thanks!

You are going to have to get a band which has a curve – but you will have to try different kinds to see what fits/matches…

God Bless.
Yes i know , im having 6 babies. Sorry if you don’t believe me , i feel very blessed to have such a great bundle !
Thankyou
I love the choice of names! And I really don’t understand when people say that kids will be picked on for having unique names. Mine is very unique and all I ever heard my whole life was compliments =)
Though I have to say Agate, Ulexite, and Shattuckite might actually bring on a lot of name-callings =S
Agate = A Gate
Ulexite = You’ll Excite
Shattuckite = ….A Kite
Just how they can be misheard when you say them >.<
And ou wouldn’t want your kids to be nickamed Blood…with Bloodstone.
I noticed you didn’t have Amethyst or Sapphire….I love these two gems as names =)
white gold, aquamarine stone, my name on the inside of it…..anyone?
Sorry, pawned it 24 yrs ago.
