I would like a one carat brilliant cut aquamarine set in 14k white gold with three 1/16 carat brilliant cut diamonds on each side of the center stone. How much would this cost to have made? I know I can go to a jeweler, but I would like some opinions before I go waste my time talking with them if I cannot afford it. Thanks!

There are so many factors that go into this it would be impossible for us to tell you how much one could cost. It all depends on the quality of all the stones even the side ones. You will have to go to a jeweler. I actually recommend a few different ones to price it at different places but you’ll definately have to go there first because there is no way to tell how much that could cost.

Its very hard to tell because if your design is entirely custom it will cost more than if you went to a jeweler and found an engagement ring setting and just had an aquamarine put into it.
My fiance bought a setting and had a 2.5 carat aquamarine put in and it has lots of small diamonds on the sides and along the band. There is about 3/4 carat of diamonds in the ring total. He spent around $4k — but he had the aquamarine hand picked then custom cut so that cost him more.
There are lovely aquamarine rings you can find with diamonds – or other stones – on the sides for less than $1k.

Hard to say because you’ve left out a lot of important info regarding the metal and quality fo the stones, but you culd find similar items at any jeweler to get an idea…but with an aquamarine center stone (which I loves BTW) it will be much more cost effective than a traditional diamond.

If the diamonds are that small, I don’t think it will cost you more than $350 if you buy one that is pre-set. It may cost you more if you need to have a custom setting made.
