my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years bought me a really expensive diamond and aquamarine ring for my birthday. it is really pretty, but it’s not really my style and i probably wont wear it much. should i tell him so i can exchange it? i reallllly don’t want to hurt his feelings!! what should i do?!
I think you should wear it regardless if it is your normal style or not. You need to realize that he picked it out for you out of love and spent a lot of money on it for you. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but that is my opinion.

say that you love the gift, but let him know gently that its not your style and you want to be able to wear it all the time. if he starts looking like its hurting him, stop and just accept it. best thing to do is wear and accept it because the poor guy probably put a lot of effort into the decision

Hmm, this is a tough one. I just think that he’s picked it ut especially for you, so if you tell him you don’t like it his feelings will be hurt! If I were you I’d keep it and wear it!
