i thought my birthstone was diamonds
and then this other person who was aries said there birth stone is Aquamarine?

i’m confused
what is my birthstone?
my birthday is april 12
help!

Hello fellow Aries. My birthday is April 15. Your friend can have a March birthday and still be an Aries, it just depends on where her birthday falls in March. Not all April birthdays are Aries people. To be an Aries you must be born between March 21 and April 20. All people born in March have the aquamarine birthstone and all people born in April have the diamond birthstone. I hope this helps :0)

Historically the birth stone of Aries is a diamond. Then markeing said all of March was an Aquamarine (since Pisces takes up most of March) because months were earier to deal with. I have never been able to convince others of the change, as they are not as well verse in astrology.

April is currently thought of to be Diamonds. You’re lucky since most people will accept Diamonds as your birth stone.

Old system (all Aries are diamonds) or new system (March Aries as Aquamarines, April Aries as Diamonds as are April Tauruses), wear what you want. Both systems would say your birth stone is a Diamond, but diamonds are all girls’ best friends ;)

you might be confused, because there is a birthstone for the sign aries, and there is also a birth stone for the month of april :) . so basically, you have two different birth stones. hope that helps clear a little up! :D

Your birthstone for April is the Diamond and Aries is Aquamarine!

I got confused with that cause mine for July is a Ruby and Cancer is a Pearl apparently!

    Conventional/traditional birthstones are as follows:
    January – Garnet
    February – Amethyst
March – Aquamarine (or sometimes bloodstone)
    April – Diamond
    May – Emerald
June – Pearl (or sometimes alexandrite or moonstone)
    July – Ruby
August – Peridot (or sometimes sardonyx)
    September – Sapphire
October – Opal (or sometimes tourmaline)
    November – Topaz
    December – Turquoise

The "sometimes" stones are typically substituted by retail jewelers in the absence of the real deal. For example, real pearls and real opal are harder to come by, so jewelers substitute alexandrite or tourmaline in birthday specific types of jewelry.

The starstones are associated with specific zodiac signs. It’s funny that the starstones change depending on which web site you consult! All the literature I’ve ever read says that Aries is associated with the diamond. But some sites say Aries is associated with the bloodstone, and it makes no mention of diamonds anywhere, in any zodiac sign.

    I’d say, go with diamonds!
