Im getting my girlfriend a promise ring with our birthstones in it mine is aquamarine and hers is opal all the birthstones have alternates my question is if i get the stones all alternates cuz the real one are like 1000 bucks would that be ok
The Pink Tourmaline will probably be more durable for her. The Opal’s are so delicate, and can be damaged easily. Actually the Tourmaline would be more affordable, and with the affordability, you’d have more sustinance. I’d go for the Tourmaline if I were you, and would also look nice next to the Aquamarine.
Besides, if she really loves you, shouldn’t matter if you get her a ring with a buckeye for the set. She will love it anyway.

Go with opal. That’s my birthstone. Opals rock. Just don’t get ‘em wet…

Well it really depends on your girlfriend. However, I’ll bet if you checked around you can find something nice for way less that $1000.00

If your girlfriend thinks it’s ok. It depends on what your girlfriend thinks. A pink is beautiful, too and if she likes pink- then go for it!!

I think that would be ok, as long as you both get the alternate stones, I mean don’t get your stone, and her’s the alternate, make sure they are both alternates.
Another idea would be to get her a plain band and have it engraved inside. It could say, I love you, or with love, then your name, etc. It might even be more affordable that getting the ring with the stones.
Either way I am sure she will love it. You sound like a sweet guy who really cares about her happiness

I am sure you have heard it before, but it really is the thought that counts. The expensive stones do not show that you care anymore than the less expensive. If she doesn’t feel the same, save all your money. She’s not for you!!

That’s a great idea! If you can’t afford the real stones, then I think you’re ok at this point. Save it for the real engagement ring. She should be happy with it and it’s a great, romantic thought.
