Staying motivated is one of the hardest things to do, when learning guitar. After the initial honeymoon period of playing the instrument, people often lose that zest for playing. This can often occur when the pain of learning the instrument begins to set in. By this I mean the soreness of the finger tips and the muscle stiffness of the wrists and forarms.

This is the point where you must focus on your movitation for picking up the instrument in the first place. Have your goals at the forefront of your mind and preferably written down where you can see them every day. Take a few moments before each blues guitar lesson to put yourself in the right frame of mind. Just by doing these simple exercises, you will be more likely to keep going and get beyond this troublesome learning period.
