ok so im in search of my perfect engagement ring- my BF said i could pick it out and initially i wanted an aquamarine so i found a couple that i loved (which ranged from $118.00- 400.00- and the one that was 118. was my fav), then i searched for some regular diamond rings and when i looked on QVC i found diamonique rings that i love and they are like under $100- my question is do you think that im wrong for wanting somthin that is under 100 when my BF wants to get somthin like in the 1,000 range- i mean its nice and all but i dont see the need to buy somthin thats that expensive when he could use it on somthin like a house or put it in savings- hes dosnt have any financial problems either- i just dont want him to buy somthin that expensive

Good for you! For some girls its all about the bling. I think what you’re doing is smart! If you can find something you absolutely LOVE for that cheap, then there’s no reason not to do it…you can use the leftover money on the wedding, honeymoon, or you’re right even on a house. I dont think youre crazy, i think you’re smarter than most…

First of all I have this ring from Jareds; it is aquamarine in the middle and diamonds all surrounding it. It’s the most expensive item I own, and I cherish it so well. I wear it everyday and it means so much to me.

Okay so last night I had this birthday dinner with 15 girls in total including me.

We went out to eat and I had my ring on the whole time. After dinner we went outside near this fountain to take pictures. After we walked to Coldstone, then I went home. I came home realizing I didnt have that ring on. So i searched my bedroom and nothing was found.

So I looked back on all the pictures that I took to see where it might have came off. It was there during all the pictures from the fountain but it wasn’t there when I took a picture with my friend who works at Cold Stone. So i thought i lost it there. I immediately call cold stone and leave a message the next morning. I call again and I spoke to a worker and she said that they looked in the morning and there was nothing, and that last night, when my friend went to clean up, he found no ring. (Reminder: we were the last costumers in the store) I had no idea where I could have put it.

The ring isn’t loose on me at all. I was wearing 3 rings in total, and the most important one to me gets lost.

I have absolutely no idea where I could have put it. I looked eveerywhere in my room and found nothing. I’ve been laying in bed crying my eyes out not knowing what to do or what to say. I cancelled my Saturday night plans and everything. I feel sick to my stomach and wonder if I should tell my mom that I lost it.

I’m scared she is going to yell at me and not trust me ever again and be so upset that she will never trust me with any of her jewlery or buy me something as extravegent as that ever again.

I am not one who loses things, i am very responsible. So it’s really weird that I haven’t found it.

I don’t know what to do or what to say. But First, Should I tell my mom?

P.S. The reason I’m worried so much and saddened is the fact that, That was my favorite ring and I couldnt care less if my other REAL ring got lost but not that one, and the fact that it’s expensive and I cant repay for it again and buy me a new one, it’s not possible. Help me! I don’t know what to do and my stomach hurts from guilt and i’ve been crying so much i have no more tears left in me.

your mom will understand she probably wont yell at you since it wasn’t even your fault. now take a deep breath…………….ok now when you were wearing the three rings all together was the ring you lost was it in front of the other rings or in the back? if it was in the front maybe it got caught to your clothing by mistake? or if you were holding a purse or something? or it may have gotten caught in someone else’s clothing or maybe even their hair. cuz that happened to me before, i was wearing a ring and i was fixing my hair when the ring got knotted in my hair without me noticing until i brushed it out.

if still you didn’t find the ring then your gonna have to tell your mom but don’t worry she wont get mad

The clear crystals seem to be turning black. But it doesn’t look like a surface thing. It seems to be turning black from the inside. Could regular exposure to water be the cause? (I never take the ring off, and have it on even when taking a bath)

soak it in warm soapy water (washing up liquid soapy) – leave for half an hour & then get an old toothbrush & gently scrub the top & underneath to shift dirt. rinse in warm water & that will be like new.

all it needs is a clean up once in a while…..nothing wrong with the ring it’s just a dirt build up.

Which of these is your favorite for an engagement ring. I like aquamarine because we started dating in march and it is March’s birth stone. Thanks!

Why is everyone being so mean. I like aquamarine because of the sentimental value it will have. I also like the way it looks. I am not asking for your opinion on that.

The second one is lovely, but you will have to have a really simple plain wedding band to go with it.
