Diamond. Obvious answer, but they are soooo beautiful!

class ring?? metal material?

Posted by admin on September 2nd, 2009 and filed under aquamarine stone | 2 Comments »

i want to get a class ring that i can cherish and i wanted to know ya opinion on something i wanted to get a aquamarine stone with ma school year and name but i want the metal material to be platinum but from a 300 dollar ring it becomes 1,200 dollars and my mother doesn’t mind that it cost that much shes willing to pay 1,200 as long as i pay 1/4 or half of it……..should i get it platinum or just go with white gold??? which one is more durable
i am fortunate ….i’m an only child my mother wants me to get it because she never got to have the chance when she was little and because she believes i earned it with having all A’s in school…but i understand wat ur saying thnx

Honestly, you dont need a $1200 class ring. If you are going to cherish it, not matter what kind of gold it comes in, you still cherish it. 10k, 14k is durable and reasonable price. You are fortunate that $1200 isn’t the question for your mom (family). $1200 is a month rent and food for some of us…..just a thought.

i have seen the question about the 14k dessert on here several times today but do people not realize that?

Posted by admin on August 31st, 2009 and filed under aquamarine stone | 3 Comments »

there is an 80 carat gemstone with it?….only problem i have with this is i have seen aquamarines that sell for $150 for a 4 carat so that would make an 80 carat about $3100 right?….they cant say its rare because unless they are only selling one of these then anyone who is willing to pay the price will have one….your thoughts on the stone, not the dessert.

My luck I would eat it. Not worth the money. If I had it to blow I would go to the jeweler so I knew that an expert was handling.

please help me!!!!!!!!!?

can you tell me what is the meaning or description of aquamarine (stone)?

Being a variety of beryl it belongs to the same family as emerald. Its colour varies from an almost white pale blue to a slightly darker sky blue, this latter being the most prized of all. There are also some greenish blue specimens which potential buyers would be wise to avoid. When investing in aquamarine, choose a stone that is pure, brilliant and as dark as possible. Be careful not to confuse it with blue topaz, a far less valuable mineral.

Generally, aquamarine is faceted, except for the translucent or milky specimens which are better cut en cabochon. This cut is popular today with jewelers for the creation of reasonably-priced parures.

Aquamarine comes from Brazil, Madagascar, Russia and the USA. Specimens from China and Colombia tend to be of a yellowish tint.

name of a stone that is translucent gray then red, green,blue on sides, bought 1950’s, Germany, set in silver

It is in a pendant, once a jeweller stated it was either aquamarine or amythest, large carat weight about 10. the colors are situated at the ends of the gem.

Sounds like ALEXANDRITE.
