Do you know what the cost is for owning a dog when you take into consideration all the things like food, vet bills, toys, treats etc? Well for me it came to be about $800 for one year. Some years were more and some were less. Then I added in the extra costs for the first year like a crate, getting our puppy spayed, extra vaccinations etc. The average dog lives 14 yrs. This totaled $10,000. So for my money, to spend an extra $50 or so to learn puppy obedience trainingand how to protect my investment is a no brainer. Of course we all love our little companions and dog training will just make life a lot better for her and me.
